 The Italian peninsular is well-placed for yachting, being right in the centre of the Mediterranean Sea, with its three large islands, Sardinia, Sicily and the nearby Corsica (French) and surrounded by several arcipelagos: Tuscany, Naples, La Maddalena in Sardinia and with the Croatian arcipelago, just a few miles across the Adriatic.

 Italy, with its many modern well-equiped marinas, such as Porto Cervo on the Costa Smeralda, could provide an excellent starting point for many interesting and enjoyable boating cruises.
